...Halo is an M rated game. Therefore, they wouldn't want to deny a minor to be able to buy a console by making it essentially and M rated console by packaging it with the game.
MS should just stop offering Halo products, cause it's working too well for them. They shouldn't try to make money but constantly develop new IP's instead of making a sequel to a great game. It's bad business to offer your best product to the consumer. No other company uses popular franchises to sell systems or software.
*sarcasm* learn it, use it
I'm not totally surprised, although it is pretty "out of nowhere". Now that I think about it, when I watched the Kotaku interviews from E3 he really seemed on edge and not his usual self. It makes sense now that he may have had some personal matters on his mind.
It's too bad, cause he really did a great job for Games for Windows and the 360.
But do you kinda see what I mean then? I'm on this site daily and I still don't know what exactly is going on. Imagine an everyday consumer.
Thanks for the clarification.
There is nothing wrong with different SKU's, but what Sony is doing really isn't helping the consumer at all. The 360 has 3 different SKU's, but it's all the same system only with differences in the HDD and an HDMI output. The Ipod has many different SKU's, but once again it's still the same product just a different color or capacity. What Sony is doing different than those fore mentioned products, is actually making a different system....different HDD capacity, some with backwards compatibil...
Folks, games are much harder than they used to be back in the day, and that is what alienates a lot of people from buying consoles that support almost exclusively hard core games. I love hard core games as much as the next guy, but sometimes I just want a casual gameplay experience that focuses on a great story with great environments. Difficult games with an extended learning curve is what keeps the masses from joining the gaming world. Nintendo has perfected the art of simplicity with the W...
If I could plug in my Zune and transfer purchased/downloaded videos (or eventually music).
Also, I'd love to see my gamertag and download history be attached to my 360, Zune, and PC. This would be huge, and I don't see why it can't happen.
Halo Wars, Too Human, Huxley, Project Offset, Fable 2, etc...
...it's definitely not 2005 E3 CGI quality! I don't care if this is pre-Alpha, post-Alpha, mid-Beta, or whatever....this will be what the game looks like but with a little more polish. Good looking game, but as we expected it's not up to the standards that Sony tried to set for it.
I'd like to see some outdoor shots to really get a good comparison.
The only thing I could see is them developing some games to work on the Zune. MS should leave the pure handheld gaming world to Nintendo. However, a few games on the Zune would be welcomed.
That's all I can say to CG's reply. DAMN!!!
I'm sorry, but I don't need that much space on a disc. That being said, mad props for this guy making those discs his b!tch.
In the Bungie Weekly Update Frankie says that it will be a theme and gamerpic of somekind.
Yes, definitely a good move for Sony. My cable internet will be working overtime next week while I'm downloading stuff from my 360 and PS3. :)
This isn't Maxim or Playboy, they don't touch up these shots to hide Master Chief's cellulite. That being said, of course they are going pick the best view to show off. Every game has their flaws, but they're not going to show off a picture that reveals the negatives. Obviously, they will pick the best screen to show off.
This is an in-game shot, whether it's part of a cut scene or not...it all uses the same in-game graphics in true Halo fashion.
It also wouldn...
You know that the developers have to be testing this game, and do they think that their game is good. Have they been playing the game saying "man, we're gonna sell a million copies". They gotta know that the game is crap before they ever release it, so I don't know why they go through with it. If I was running Midway, I'd say it would be better for the company to scratch the project and take the loss instead of releasing it and having my reputation tarnished.
There was an article here a couple of days ago that talked about the "rumored" features of update 2.0, and it did include wallpaper feature.
I'm sorry, you can post all the fan polls, blog entries, and rumor sites that give all the fake statistics that you want, but this all fanboy garbage at this point. Nothing is worth getting worked up about until we hear figures from MS, which will probably be about the same time Sony gives us all their RSX data (aka probably never). The failure rate for 360's is definitely high, but not 30% or even close. At the highest the failure rate is %10, which is really high for a consumer good, but if...
A company can have all of the in-house development that they want, but that doesn't mean that it will deliver the best software. The games that drive sales are the games that people buy in huge numbers. Right now, many of those games are third party games on the PS3 and are going multi-platform. There are certainly going to be great games developed first party from Sony, but to say that things don't change now that GTA, Virtual Fighter, Ace Combat, and more are multiplatform is simply ignoran...
These websites come up with clever/inflammatory headlines to create more hits on their site. This isn't a parting shot, it's the god honest truth. Is there anyone on this site that doesn't think the PS3 needs to get to $399? That is what Moore is saying, nothing else. I'm sure Sony is thinking the same thing, they just have to figure out how they can afford to do that.
He also thinks that the 80GB won't make a huge difference, and I don't disagree with that. PS3 has a lot of gr...
